 LOG-ONE

First incorporated in 1986, LOG-ONE Ltd. designs, manufactures and distributes Energy Management Systems (EMS). We also custom design Electronic devices for third parties, design and manufacture custom Environmental Monitoring Systems (mimic panels) and distribute Home Automation (HA) products.

Log-One was initially created to respond to the need for sophisticated custom designed Environmental Monitoring Systems for computer rooms. The mimic panels gather information from different devices (Uninterruptible Power Supply, Fire Alarm, Frequency Converter, Water detectors, Air Conditioning…) and display the status and location of these apparatus on a custom front panel which represents the floor lay out. At a glance security guards check that everything on the premises is fine, or they are alerted by a loud sonalert and a red LED showing the location of the alarm.

At the end of the 1980s LOG-ONE expanded its market share by becoming a distributor of Home Automation (HA) and Energy Management products. Today we distribute ACT Power Line Carrier Components, ARNet (whole house structured wiring), Cardio (Secant), X-10 and X-10 PRO. We also manufacture several X-10 compatible products: Blind Controls (120v AC and 12v DC) and 15/30W Remote Sirens.

At the same time Log-One became a leader in X-10 technology and its parent company - Adjala Controls and Technologies, was created to respond to the need for consulting and in depth technical training without being associated with the conflict of interest of being a distributor for certain brand names. Adjala Controls and Technologies is a member of CABA: Continental Automated Building Association.

Due to Log-One’s technical engineering capability we were then approached and asked to complete our line of products by designing Energy Management Systems (EMS). We began to design smart thermostats for classrooms (EMS-S296, EMS-SS96). Working with their own motion detector(s), door contact(s), pre-programmed for the next 20 years, with a 10-year battery back-up, Dip Switch settings… these patented EMS do not require any programming at all. The impressive patented pre-heat algorithm allows for starting the heat at 50% of capacity, monitoring the room progress in real time, automatically adjusting for outside temperature, R-value… to bring energy savings between 36% to 50% (third party tests available). Log-One also manufactures 20-year Timers (EMS-TIMR). Power Interface (Pow-Int) Panels convert the 24v AC from the EMS to 120/240v AC. Today our full line of EMS addresses classrooms, offices, apartments, hotels, motels, conference rooms, stores, timers… Our EMS have been tested by third parties for energy savings and have been endorsed by such companies as Ontario Hydro, Nova Scotia Power and Duke Solutions, to name just a few.

Thanks to its dynamic R & D department, Log-One also designs and manufactures micro controller products for third parties. (link to P4).
