4) 19" DIN CARD RACK SYSTEM (DIN-XX, DIN-SXX)

The very same monitoring boards (AB-8 and AB-8S) were also developed for applications with a very large number of detectors. Therefore they can be mounted in a standard 19" "Europac" card cage (height: 5.25" = 3 U). In this particular case the cards are plugged in on a "mother board" which is mounted in the back of the rack. All alarm wires arrive on terminal blocks in the back of the motherboard (one per board). All of the other information: Reset, Press to Test, Silence, Horn, Power supply, Battery... are shared through the internal mother board bus. The power supply (24v DC) can be external or mounted on a card. One extra card per rack with the Horn, Silence and Press to Test/Reset push button is required. All of the alarm LEDs are mounted vertically (about 8mm apart) directly on the board (the two priority LEDs can also be visible, for a total of 10 LEDs per board).The front panel can be made of aluminum or Plexiglas with a description of the function of the LEDs either engraved or silk-screened. Up to 88 standard alarms (72 supervised) can be monitored in this very small space.
