14) Remote
Summary Alarm (RSW-86, RSD-86)
·
The RSW-86 and RSD-86 are remote summary alarm panels. As the name
indicates they are comprised of a single alarm that will come on whenever any
of a programmed group of alarms goes off *. The RSW-86 and RSD-86 were
designed to respond to situations where people could be located away from the
main monitoring panel (i.e. computer room). As an extra security measure a
remote alarm panel is installed in a supervisor’s or building security
(guard’s) office. Every time the summary alarm sounds, the security guard
ensures that the problem is rectified either by phoning the computer room, or
by going there himself / herself and taking the right action.
·
The wall mounted version is housed in a 6"x8" (4" deep)
panel. Standard colour is enamel grey 64.
·
The desk version is available in a wedge-shaped cream aluminium with
walnut side enclosures. This
attractive design is perfect for locations where a highly professional
appearance is important.
·
Both versions display a horn, a silence push-button and a red LED. As
soon as an alarm condition occurs, the main panel sends a signal to the remote
alarm panel. The horn sounds (typically 110 dB) and the LED lights up. The
horn can be silenced but the LED will stay on as long as an alarm condition is
present. When all alarm conditions have cleared, the remote summary alarm
resets automatically and is ready to accept a new alarm. Only a pair of # 18 wires (# 16
if the distance is greater than 150 ft) is required for this panel.
·
NOTE: if all (or part) of the alarms
have to be duplicated in a remote location, use the LC-7, LC-14, STAP-7,
STAP-14, STAP-7S or STAP-14S monitoring panel (depending on the requirement).
15) Emergency Power Off
Assembly (EPO-NO,
EPO-NC)
This EPO assembly is a grey
gasketted box, equipped with a push button. The contact supplied with it is
Normally Closed for the EPO-NC, or Normally Open for the EPO-NO. The EPO
assembly is specially designed to be mounted on a wall in a computer room.
·
More contacts can be added (please specify when ordering)
·
It is a
good idea (if possible) to monitor the EPO with the monitoring panel. Any
"accident" will be memorized for later proof
·
An optional cover can also be added to prevent any accidents
